About

TNB has initiated a preliminary desktop study for a Sarawak-Peninsular Malaysia Interconnection with a 1000 MW capacity. The project aims to leverage Sarawak’s hydropower potential to supply electricity to Peninsular Malaysia. This interconnection enables resilience and low-carbon growth for Malaysia. Hence, full feasibility study is crucial before reaching final investment decision.
