About

Smallholder oil palm plantations often face reduced yields due to poor soil moisture retention and limited water infiltration, especially during dry periods. Compacted and degraded soils restrict water penetration, root development, and nutrient uptake, leading to lower productivity and income for farmers.

This project focuses on improving soil health and enhancing water retention capacity to support sustainable farming practices. By restoring soil conditions, it helps increase yields, strengthen climate resilience, and improve long-term profitability for smallholders while promoting better land stewardship and sustainable palm oil production.
